The International French Travel Market TOP RESA closed its door today in Paris after the visit on the Saint-Martin booth of the French Minister of Tourism, Sylvia Pinel who inaugured the tradeshow on Tuesday September 18th and shaked hands with the President of the Collectivité de Saint-Martin and the Tourism Office.
Tuesday September 28th, it is the Minister of the French Overseas territories, Victorin Lurel, who honored the Island with his presence.
During their short visit, he indicated and promised to Jeanne Vanterpool, Territorial counseller, in charge of Economic Affairs and Vice-President of the French Saint-Martin Tourist office that he will soon come to Saint-Martin to meet with the Island Council and discuss opportunities to boost the island’s economy.
At the Grand Pavois in La Rochelle and at CMITE show in Jamaïca other team members of the French Saint-Martin Tourism Office are promoting yachting and cruising and selling the destination for Incentive groups.
The Grand Pavois is undoubtedly the reference for boat show fans. It is naturally that St. Martin finds its place!
Emile Louisy, in charge of Yachting and the Canadian market along with by Elsie Marishaw, stay Advisor are attending from September 19 to 24 this international in-water boat show.
The association Metimer with Bulent Gulay, member of the Tourist Office Board of Directors is also participating to praise the island’s assets for cruising and yachting.
In fact, Saint-Martin is a unique destination for sailing and cruising to the 37 pristine water beaches, Pinel Island and Tintamarre but also to discover the surrounding islands of Anguilla, St. Barth, Saba and St Kitts.
From September 20 to 23 the Caribbean Meeting & Incentive Travel Exchange (CMITE) takes place in Jamaica and gathers all Incentive market players of the Caribbean.
CMITE is a invitation only show and with appointments face to face between sellers and buyers.
