An inevitable rendez-vous in order to meet tourism professionals and discuss the strengths and weaknesses of the destination.
We met over a hundred professionals that are already selling the destination and planning to strengthen their efforts towards Saint-Martin.
We also officially met the new President of the APAV (Association Puertorriquena de Agencias de Viajes) Mrs. Frances B Varela. Mrs. Varela’s association brings more than 80 travel agencies together under one label.

Organized for the 11th consecutive year the Tourist Office has attended for several years.
This year the Mercure Hotel came along to target Puerto Rican customers.
As a reminder, SOME and APAV are the two largest associations in Puerto Rico with the largest number of travel agencies. Once a year they organize a one-day meeting with the islands of the Caribbean to strengthen work ties and present the new developments of each destination.
This first meeting with more than one hundred travel agents in the presence of Mrs. Frances B Varela (APAV President) and Mr. Fernando Sanchez (SOME President, Sociedad de mayoristas escursiones of Puerto Rico) will lead to a series of workshops during the month of April and May 2013 in conjunction with the Tourist Office, the AHSM, SOME and APAV.

The Mercure Hotel accompanied the Tourist Office of Saint-Martin for its first participation in this exhibition, The Caribbean Bridal Show is a tradeshow that includes everything in the environment of marriage: decoration companies, "wedding planners", DJs, sound and lighting, jewelry, etc..
The customers were essentially: couples (married, preparing their marriage), families...
This first participation was successful and along with the hotels of Saint-Martin we will prepare to attend the next edition in greater numbers in order to position Saint Martin as a dream destination for weddings, honeymoons and vacationing for couples.

" Saint Martin is served by Jet Blue Airways on a daily basis and we are in the process of finalizing a partnership agreement with them in the coming months. We also met a new airline company wishing to strengthen its ties with our destination.
We will be sure to keep you informed about the progress we will make. "
