The election of the new Junior Minister of Tourism 2013/2014 was held last friday.
Adriana Sylvestre won the title after the third practice debate.

The themes this year were "multigenerational travel" and "agritourism". Each candidate had three minutes to speak in English on the subject of their choice.

The Jury made up of Evelyne Fleming, President of the Jury, Bernadette Davis, First Vice-President of the CESC, Franck Chance, Silviane John, Director of the Saint-Martin Tourism Office and Priscilla Bade, Youth Department Manager, had the daunting task of grading these six young women.

Adriana Sylvestre is our third Junior Minister of Tourism and the second girl to win the title, she will represent St. Martin at the CTO State of the Industry from 15th to 18th of October 2013 in Martinique and compete to win the title of Junior Minister of Tourism of the Caribbean.

This election organized for the past three years by the Saint-Martin Tourism Office in the person of Grégoire Dumel, Head of the local and regional market is growing every year :
"We had fifteen candidates in the first selection, we are very pleased with the interest our young people are showing in this election, because we want them to get more involved in Tourism.
Organizing the same concept in French for French Caribbean islands would be even more interesting
. "
